How can you help?

It is now confirmed the Night Shelter will open on Friday 1st November to start the winter shelter provision.

However the Night Shelter cannot open each evening without sufficient volunteers in place to safely carry out all the duties.

Sadly, we have to announce that we will be unable to open every night during the first week of operation at least.

We are desperately seeking volunteers who would be able to supervise, particularly the quiet shift 2 overnight whilst guests are sleeping.

If you have already registered as a volunteer and feel that you can cover more shifts, then please email Amanda at admin@whfvolunteers.org.uk

If you have NOT already registered as a volunteer and feel that you can cover some shifts, then please complete the Volunteer interest form here.

No Transport? Not a problem as we can arrange lifts within the Wellingborough area at start and end of shift.

If that isn’t the way that you would like to volunteer, then don’t let that put you off volunteering. There are a variety of ways you can help the service operate throughout the cold winter months.

Could you help :

  • Fundraising
  • Cooking meals in advance for the freezer
  • Shopping & stocking the Night Shelter
  • Donating items for the guests e.g. non-perishable food donations
  • Something else?

If you would like to help in some way, please complete our Volunteer interest form here and we shall be in contact soon.
